How to Heal and Grow
Can you name a few habits in your life that need to change? Chances are, you thought of several in just a few seconds.
Our habits shape our behaviors. So if we want to grow, our habits must change, right? Well, that's only painting one part of the picture.
The Apostle Paul, wrote about this in his letter to the church at Ephesus. In Ephesians 4:22-24, Paul writes,
"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness" (NIV).
Life transformation doesn't come from our own willpower. Instead, it comes from the Holy Spirit's power at work in our lives.
We all have areas in our lives we want to change, whether from trauma, poor habits, or bad influences. But, if we want to get where we want to go, we must be healed from the pain we've known.
When we let the Living God touch the places in us that are wounded or misaligned, we start to see Him with us there. He begins breaking down the walls that limit us so we can GROW into all He has for us.
